As most casting materials harden, they produce an exothermic (heat producing) reaction which can cause a loss of footwear or tire track detail. SnowPrint Wax “holds” the details of the impression and acts as an insulator, preventing the snow from melting and obscuring important details. Since SnowPrint Wax is red, spraying several layers on the impression allows for superior photographic recording of the details in color before casting with dental stone.
